On May 22, Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China approved to lift the ranks of 32 junior colleges to universities.
3 colleges in Guangdong Province were permitted to operate as universities, which included the one located in Longgang District, named Shenzhen Institution of Information Technology.
Profile of Shenzhen Institution of Information Technology:
Shenzhen Institution of Information Technology was founded as a full-time and public college by the People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality in 2002.
It is introduced that it covers a land of about 1387.40 mu (approximately 924933.33 square meters) and boasts a floor area of about 538,700 square meters, with a faculty of 1,348. There are about 15,037 students studying on the campus.
It has 54 information-relevant majors, including 20 national-level ones, offering education on integrated circuit, industrial software, artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, unmanned aerial vehicle, etc.
