During the 3-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday, China recorded a total of 119 million domestic trips, showing a year-on-year increase of 5.7%, with the domestic trip spending surging by 5.9% year on year to 42.73 billion yuan, according to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The visitors to Hong Kong during the 3-day holiday spanning from May 31 to June 02, surged by 11% year on year to 460,000 approximately, including about 360,000 inbound visitors from the Chinese mainland and about 94,000 visitors from other regions, according to the relevant authorities of Hong Kong.
Shenzhen, during the past Dragon Boat Festival, handled 4161,400 trips in total, presenting a year-on-year increase of 20.3%. Accordingly, the tourism revenue increased by 21.8% as compared with last year, to 2.291 billion yuan, as introduced by Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports.
