The 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (the 21st ICIF) came to an end on May 26. During the five-day event, over 120,000 cultural products were exhibited, with more than 4,000 cultural investment projects presented and negotiated. The 21st ICIF, together with the relevant activities, recorded more than 2.2 million visits in total.
About 6,280 government units, cultural institutions and enterprises participated in the 21st ICIF, 265 more than the previous session. The exhibition section named “Cultural and Creative China”, as a major part of the event, occupied about 3,000 square meters, increasing from 1,300 square meters of the previous session. At the “Cultural and Creative China” exhibition, over 100 institutions, enterprises and famed IP units exhibited their cultural and creative products.
The 21st ICIF saw the extensive international participation. It reached the historical high in the number of “Belt and Road” participants, global cooperation, and the product categories. It welcomed participants from 65 nations and regions all over the world, more than 50 ones of which were the nations along the Belt and Road. Nations, such as Poland, Austria, Romania, Russia, Brazil, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Nepal, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Egypt, Ghana, Uganda, exhibited their characteristic cultural products at the 21st ICIF.
The 21st ICIF featured the AI-themed exhibition section, where over 60 AI enterprises showcased their AI products and the application scenarios.
The exhibitions and the relevant experience activities, during the 21st ICIF, stimulated the new momentum for cultural consumption. The 21st ICIF had the distinctive exhibitions, with the themes of intangible cultural heritage, cultural and creative products, game and e-sports, trendy culture, etc. These themed exhibitions helped unleash the consumption potential in the culture, tourism and sports sectors. It is the first time for the ICIFs to establish the international culture trade base of China -- Shenzhen globalization and introduction stage of performing arts. During the 5 days of the 21st ICIF, over 10 stage-art projects and over 50 premium performance projects were introduced and presented, to promote the globalization of the nation’s performing arts.
